POEM:
“If nobody, never,
it would have been our turn,
we would be paralyzed
If nobody, never,
would have spoken to us,
we would be mute
If nobody, never,
would have smiled at us and looked at us,
we would be blind
If nobody, never,
would have loved us
we would be NOBODY.”
By Paul Beaudiquey
I'm sitting on the floor. I have this beautiful creature under my hands, here between my legs, looking at me with smiling eyes, already knowing what's going to happen, recognizing the ritual.
I rub my hands together about 15-20 cm away from her face, it is our non-verbal communication to tell her that I am going to give her a massage, and at the same time I ask her out loud: do you want to receive a massage? She smiles at me and stares at me waiting for the touch of my warm hands soaked in top quality vegetable oil, she deserves the best!
Poem:
“We talk to the child and communicate with him
through the hands
Touch is the first language
One skin talks to the other skin and from the skin they are derived
all other sensory organs
And these in turn are like windows in the wall of the skin.
that encloses us and separates us from the world
The skin of the newborn has
“an unimaginable intelligence and sensitivity.”
Frederic Leboyer
I love being able to massage my little ones, they relax under my hands, I relax being able to be with them, it's like cutting out a little piece of time where everything stops. It's just us, pampering them with caresses and love.
Touch is food: if I am touching my daughters' skin and body I am feeding them with Love!
What do I use for massage?
As an infant massage educator, I always recommend using a high-quality cold-pressed fruit or vegetable oil, as odorless as possible so that the baby can establish a bond with the mother without interference, such as almond oil, which nourishes and does not “steal” vital nutrients, and if the child puts his hand in his mouth, nothing happens. Once the bond between the baby and the person who is taking care of the child is established, other, always natural, elements can also be used, such as coconut oil in the summer, which is more refreshing, and strong mustard oil in the winter to conserve heat.
What we put on our skin is absorbed by the body and circulates through it, carried by lymph, a liquid like blood that cleanses the body of toxins and eliminates waste. For this reason, it makes sense to me to use an organic food product that will nourish the skin and not based on petroleum like most “baby oil” made from mineral oils.
Can I add essential oils to vegetable oil?
You can add a few drops of therapeutic grade essential oils to your chosen vegetable oil. Lavender from Young Living, which will help to relax the baby, for example, after an intense day at daycare, or after having been to the pediatrician or simply for a walk.
Young Living's therapeutic grade Lavender essential oil can also help with baby colic, I have had very good results!
I remember a very good friend of mine, whose newborn baby had skin full of pimples and was also flaking, a physiological process where the skin changes, and she was totally scared. I told her to put a drop of lavender in 10-15ml of calendula oil, and when you change it, give them a good massage. So in one day the pimples were already disappearing! She called me all happy!
When putting our little loves to bed, we can sing a lullaby or tell their favorite story while we give them a “Love Massage” with Lavender to ensure a good, fragrant rest.
Why Young Living Essential Oil?
Because they are 100% natural, they have nothing added, they have no expiration date, they have no pesticides, they have no intermediaries, they have their farms, Youngl Living follows the entire process from seeds, sowing, harvesting, distillation, laboratory testing until putting them in jars (“from seed to stamp“).
They work great for me and I want the best for me and my family!
