The photo above is a gift from my daughter Eloise, you can see a heart made with essential oils and my name in the middle.
By using essential oils almost in my daily routine, I have come to the conclusion that using essential oils is part of respectful parenting.
When my daughters are sick, our whole world stops, they can't go to school and I have to take care of them:
I could use a spoon or syringe to give the medicines every X time and continue doing my things around the house for example without hardly coming into contact with them (or at worst giving them medicines that have a horrible taste and they vomit it!!),
- Or, instead, I'd go to my corner with all my oils and choose the most suitable one(s), dilute it with V6 vegetable oil, sit next to them, and apply the oils to their little bodies with my hands...
What am I talking about?
Of quality moments, of contact, of love, and at the same time providing physical well-being, support so the body can recover.
Intercultural studies show that infants who are held, massaged, carried, rocked and breastfed, become less aggressive and violent adults, and more compassionate and cooperative.
From there I tell myself if every night I apply a little lavender or peace&calming oil to my daughter's chest to help her fall asleep, or diluted orange oil on her tummy to help/regularize bowel movements, diluted thieves along her back to support her immune system, RC or Raven to support her respiratory system when needed... What I am doing is nourishing her body with love with my caresses, with my touch, respecting her body and individual as such because if she doesn't feel like it, I won't do it, and at the same time my hands will be filled with essential oil diluted with carrier oil to be able to glide better and I will be supporting her physical and emotional well-being. That is why I love and prefer to use the essential oils what other things!
What will my daughters be like when they grow up? I hope they can replicate what I'm doing, and better than me! May they respect their children and the rest!
I'm not the only mom who uses essential oils with her family, so this means we're raising our children for a better world based on respect, affection, love, and nature!
Application on the Skin
It's recommended to dilute essential oils for application to young children and babies until skin sensitivity is known. More isn't always better when it comes to essential oils; every drop is very potent. If an essential oil is applied to the skin and it begins to become red, itchy, or hot, add olive oil or V6 carrier oil until improvement occurs. Nothing bad happens; it's just that the oil has brought blood to the skin's surface too quickly. This can also occur to those who are in the habit of using chemical cleansers, soaps, cosmetics, lotions, and other products with synthetic ingredients, which penetrate the dermal layers of the skin.
Quality of essential oils
I only use Young Living Essential Oils, which are guaranteed to provide 100 percent pure, therapeutic-grade oil (YLTG™) produced from carefully identified plants with natural chemical profiles that meet or exceed recognized global standards. In addition, YL has its own comprehensive and rigorous internal standard, the "Seed to Seal" guarantee, which is why YL essential oils continue to be used worldwide in more clinical and university studies than any other essential oil today.
